Obituary
ELKHART — Edith E. "Liz" Woods, 73, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 8:51 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Elkhart General Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born April 3, 1941, to the late Walter and Ella Mae (Briner) Belew Henderson.
She married Charles E. Woods on April 3, 1959, in Rockford, Ill. He survives at home in Elkhart.
Also surviving are her daughters, Kathy Wing and Teresa Mulcahey; son Charles L. "Charlie" Woods; her sister, Sarah Eastman; brother Frank Belew; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of Elkhart.
Liz was preceded in death by a son, Edward E. Woods.
In accordance with her wishes, no services have been scheduled and she is to be cremated.
Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Liz worked several years at the Walmart on C.R. 6 in Elkhart. She was a happy, smiling and outgoing people person who loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the Edith E. Woods Memorial Fund c/o Billings Funeral Home.
