Obituary
ELKHART — Dwayne E. "Marty" Williams, 47, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital Tuesday, Feb. 2.
He was born April 5, 1968, in Elkhart, to Sandra Williams of Elkhart and Kent Andrews.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his children, Brent Ayers, Harmony Williams, Keshaune Rucker and Aalaigh Williams; his uncle Stanley (Christie) McCray; aunt Shamin Williams; and cousins Nicole (Ryan) Reed, Che Williams, along with Phillip, Teanna, Kashten, Eric and Clinton McCray.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 802 W. Garfield, Elkhart.
After attending Elkhart Central High School, Marty held several positions doing maintenance work and driving a tow motor. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and sports. He dearly loved his family and friends, but he was especially fond of his children.
The family thanks all those who extended prayers, kindness and words of encouragement during this time of bereavement.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting with cremation arrangements.
