ELKHART -- Drake Andrew Thomas Muncie, 26, of Elkhart, died at 1:53 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 2, 2009) in Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Nov. 25, 1982, in Goshen to Jerry Wayne Eller and Cherie Muncie. On Aug. 18, 2006, he married Cheryl Marie Tschida in Elkhart.

She survives along with one son, Eliyahu David Muncie of Elkhart; his mother and stepfather, Cherie and Sam Lester of Elkhart; his father of Crossville, Tenn.; three brothers, Derek Muncie of Alaska and Dru and Dirk Lester, both of Elkhart; one sister, Lisa (Jim) Smith of Crossville; and his grandmothers, Lorna Muncie of Elkhart and Shirley Lester of Lenoir, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Louvena and Oakley Eller, Russell W. Muncie Sr. and Clyde Lester.

Mr. Muncie was a 2001 graduate of Elkhart Central High School. He was employed by L.J. Commercial Services and Red Carpet Cleaning. He loved listening to music, collecting comic books and spending time with his wife and son.

Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Nate Littman will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
