ELKHART -- Douglas Kirk Secor, 46, of Elkhart, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 23, 2011.
He was born Dec. 7, 1964, in Elkhart.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra Fuller of Elkhart; father, Robin (Cheri) Secor of Holland, Mich.; stepfather, Art Mills of Union, Mich.; five children, Casandra (Tony) Cooper and Darryn Secor of Perry, Fla., Brandy (Zack) Leer of Elkhart, Page Secor of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Renita Secor of Elkhart; five brothers, Robin (Debbie) Secor of Elkhart, Allen (Kelly) Secor of Edwardsburg, Charles Secor of Elkhart, Jason Secor of Denver and David Mills of Elkhart; sister Karen Secor of Holland; and 12 grandchildren.
Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Deloris George and Lawrence and Ellen Secor.
Doug attended Constantine High School, where he played football and was active in wrestling. He was employed for several years as a carpenter in the construction industry.
Doug enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching NASCAR and football, fishing and listening to music.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 29, 2011, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Burial will follow in Plum Grove Cemetery, Union.
