Obituary

Douglas “Doug” Ronald Seal, 63, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Doug was born on July 12, 1963 in France, to Ronald R. Seal and Sue (Cummins) Reavis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Sue; sister, Rhonda Seal and grandson, Elijah Hall.

Doug is survived by his children, Nicole Ann Seal, Amber Louise (Ryan) Seal-Hall and Matthew Seal; grandchildren, Camaron and Kohen Kinder and Kirstin Hall; sister, Pamela (Brian) Seal-Lloyd; close nieces and nephews, Crai Randall, Ashley Randall, Julia Roundtree, Jacob O’Dell, Amy Lloyd and Brian N. Lloyd.

Doug honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to working as a millworker in the RV industry and creating beautiful custom cabinetry.

He was a dedicated member of the VFW Post 88 on Bristol Street, where he could often be found playing pool and hanging out with friends on the weekends. An avid outdoorsman and sports fan, Doug enjoyed spending a nice day fishing, watching NFL football on television, and following NASCAR—especially local racing at the New Paris Speedway. Most recently, he found great enjoyment in following legal cases on Court TV.

Remembered as quiet, full of joy, and deeply loyal, Doug loved nothing more than spending quality time with his friends, especially his close friend, Mike.

There will be a celebration of Doug’s life from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at VFW Post 88, 1519 W. Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN 46514.
