ELKHART — Dorothy Mae "Dot" Wyman, 83, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side Tuesday, Jan. 14, following an extended illness.
She was born in Elkhart County on Feb. 11, 1930, to the late Clayton and Grace (Martin) Rodibaugh.
On Dec. 12, 1957, she married Ward W. Wyman in Elkhart, where he preceded her in death in 1994.
Also preceding Dot were her sisters, Hazel Quinones and Florence Cathcart; and brothers David, William and Roady Rodibaugh.
Surviving are her daughters Sandy (Roger) Baughman of Elkhart and Marsha Army of South Bend; sons Danny (Jill) Wyman of Hebron, Ky., Chris Wyman of Elkhart and Rich (Lorra) Wyman of Chicago; brother Charles (Ethel) Rodibaugh; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Dot's life began at Billings Funeral Home with visitation Monday, Jan. 20, followed by funeral services at noon Tuesday, Jan. 21, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate. Burial will follow services in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
Dot was a homemaker at heart but also worked at Needlecraft of Elkhart for nearly 24 years. She loved baking, crocheting and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
