ELKHART — Dorothy M. Huffman, 92, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital from natural causes.
She was born May 7, 1920, to the late Orson F.and Beulah B. Gard in Elkhart.
In 1976, she married Chester E. Huffman in Michigan. He passed away in 2003.
Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Mary Adkins and Marge Webb and brothers Frank and Justice Gard.
Surviving is her son, Edward B. "Ed" (Jean) Quillin of Elkhart; daughter Edyth Quillin of Los Angeles, Calif.; stepson Steve (Kathy) Huffman of Dillsburg, Pa.; stepdaughters Susan (Loren) Maier of Elkhart and Kay (Arthur) Woodworth of Gainsville, Fla.; brother Russell E. "Russ" (Mary) Gard of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Grace Bible Church, 54230 C.R. 5, Elkhart. Pastor Mike Fisher will be officiating.
Burial of the cremated remains will follow in Adamsville Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Memorial donations may be made to the church or Susanna's Kitchen.
