ELKHART -- Dorothy Gene Frost, 65, of Elkhart died at 3:53 p.m. Sunday (May 18, 2008) in Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born April 24, 1943, in Manchester, Tenn., to Thurman and Bernadene (Swann) Norment. On April 28, 1961, she married David L. Frost in Edwardsburg, Mich.

He survives along with one son, Donald R. (Ashley) Frost of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (Samuel) Hill of Elkhart and Carol (David) Bachart of Middlebury; and two brothers, Tommy (Trudy) Norment of Middlebury and Jim (Diane) Norment of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by two sons, David Frost and Terry Nicely, and two brothers, Doug and William Norment.

Mrs. Frost was a parts maker at Gemeinhardt Co., Elkhart, for more than 37 years. She was a member of the New Testament Bible Church in Elkhart and enjoyed crocheting, watching soap operas and attending stock car races when her son was racing.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at New Testament Bible Church, 29718 C.R. 18 W., Elkhart, and one hour prior to Thursday's 10 a.m. funeral service at the church. Pastors Terry A. Staley and Shirley Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in Olive West Cemetery.
