ELKHART — Doris M. DeGraff, 84, of Elkhart, passed away at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart at 3:34 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, after a sudden illness.
A memorial service in her honor will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 405 W. Beardsley Ave. The service of worship will be followed by a reception in Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the St. Paul's clothes closet are appreciated.

ELKHART — Doris M. DeGraff, 84, of Elkhart, passed away at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart at 3:34 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, after a sudden illness.
She was born in South Bend on Oct. 24, 1927, to the late Orville D. and Evelyn (Mendenhall) DeGraff.
Also preceding her in death are her sisters, Betty, Lois and Patricia; and her brother, Orville.
Surviving are a brother, James "Jim" (Joan) DeGraff of Portage, Mich.; sisters Elsie (Royal) Rock of Elkhart and Shirley Schuler of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services, both of Elkhart.
Doris was a volunteer for Elkhart's Harvest Basket for Community Services food pantry, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart, worked as a bookkeeper for several area companies and was a cashier at Elkhart's C.R. 6 Walmart.
