She was born July 17, 1939, in Hayes Middlesex, England, to George and Betty (Herman) Eglinton. She married Walter R. Moon on Dec. 31, 1976, in Mishawaka. He died March 26, 2005, in Goshen.

She is survived by two sons, William "Bill" (Jennifer) Moon of Elkhart and Dan (Molly) Lovell of Howe; three daughters, Janet (Robert) Bean of Huntington Beach, Calif., Laura Witmer of Elkhart and Jodi (Dewey) Hiles of Niles, Mich.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Eglinton of England.

A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 4206 E. Bristol St., Elkhart. Pastor David Cross of the church will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moon was a homemaker and became an American citizen on Sept. 11, 1979. She enjoyed camping, gardening, opera and spending time with her grandchildren.
