Dontae Malike Quinones, 24, of Elkhart, passed away from injuries he received in a single vehicle accident on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Dontae was born on January 15, 2001 in South Bend to Jawad "Jay" Alkanaani and Chilly A. Quinones. Surviving is his father Jawad Alkanaani of Tampa, Florida and mother Chilly A. Quinones of Douglas, Arizona. Also surviving is his daughter Ella Hester of Elkhart, two brothers, Damion M. (Myrta Aguirre) Quinones, Justin L. Quinones, both of Elkhart; two sisters Ameena and Zaynib Alkanaani of Nebraska and his girlfriend Maddie Staub of Elkhart. Dontae was preceded in death by a brother Amir Alkanaani and his uncle Pacino Ruiz.

Dontae was working at Utilimaster as a forklift driver. He was a loving son, friend, and gamer. He likes to watch Anime and play video games. He loved to watch sports, and his favorite team was the Chicago Bears. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
