Donnie "Duck" L. Jackson, 63, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Elkhart on April 8, 1959, to the late Louis and Myrtle Jackson.

Donnie is survived by his daughters, Shannon Allen and Shelley Flynn; grandchildren, Amari and Amiya Jackson and Kamriah Logan; Rochelle Allen, mother of Shannon and Shelley; Deb Kyle, mother of Shelley; brothers, Timothy, Charles, Stevie, Henry, and Mitchell Jackson; sister, Betty Sanders; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Louise Griffin.

In accordance with Donnie's wishes, cremation was chosen. A private celebration of life services will take place at a later date.

Donnie was a charming, sharp, witty, and hardworking man who loved his family immensely. He worked for Plumrose for a time and later went on to work for various local businesses prior. Donnie will be best remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up a room. He was always joking and talking with his family. He also enjoyed a good a meal. In spite of his many hardships and battle with an ongoing illness, he remained positive and steadfast in his faith with the Lord. Donnie will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
