ELKHART -- Donna Lee Taylor, 62, of Elkhart, died at 4:25 a.m. Friday (Dec. 12, 2008) in Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 15, 1945, in Anstead, W.Va., to Dewey and Betty G. (Grimmett) Taylor.

She is survived by one brother, Tom (Sharon) Taylor of Terre Haute; and two nieces, Laura (Phil) Turner of Whiteland and Becky (James) Wiesneth of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Ms. Taylor was a 1964 graduate of Elkhart High School. She worked as an operator with General Telephone Co., retiring after 38 years. She also worked at Meijer for eight years and at the YMCA in Elkhart as a receptionist and helper.

Friends may call two hours prior to the 3 p.m. service Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Pastor Bud Walterhouse of California Road Missionary Church will officiate.

Cremation will follow the services and burial will take place at a later date in Rice Cemetery.
