ELKHART - Donna R. Fisher, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully after an extended illness at Elkhart General Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. She was born in Elkhart to the late Wayne and Ruth (Burk) Stutsman. She married James E. "Jim" Fisher in Elkhart on Sept. 22, 1962. He survives at home after 55 wonderful years together. Also surviving is a son, Michael (Debra) Platz; grandchildren Bryan Platz and Brett (Toni Stouder) Platz; great-grandchildren Braley and Colt Platz and her loving companion, Charlie the Chihuahua. She was preceded in death  by a brother Kevin Stutsman.

Donna worked nearly 40 years at CTS in Elkhart and belonged to the Quarter Century Club.  She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed playing cards, traveling, fishing and watching Notre Dame Football. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned. Donna's remains will be cremated with the assistance of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. Memorials may be donated to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
