June 1, 1935 - May 17, 2010

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. -- Donna Lee Dixon, 74, of Cassopolis Road, formerly of Elkhart, went home to be with our Lord and her loved ones who have gone before her on Monday, May 17, 2010.

Mrs. Dixon was born June 1, 1935, in Elkhart to Leroy Joseph and Mary (Grisamer) Rich. On Sept. 3, 1983, she married Warren A. Dixon in Elkhart. He survives.

Also surviving are her sister-in-law and good friend Doris Ashley of Cassopolis; son Charles Michael Johnson and fiancée Pam McBride of Elkhart; daughter Catherine (Johnson) Eby and fiancé William Price of Goshen; stepsons Robert Dixon of Middlebury, Jerry Dixon of Illinois, Paul Dixon of Michigan and Ronald Dixon of Florida; stepdaughter June Ann (Dixon) White of Michigan; grandchildren Jennifer Eby, Joshua Eby, Joseph Eby, Amy (Johnson) Ott, Austin Johnson and Danielle Johnson; and many more cherished stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Rich; two sons, John (Dixon) Johnson and Steve (Dixon) Johnson; two stepsons, William Dixon and Warren Dixon Jr.; and two grandchildren, Jessica Eby and Christopher Johnson.

Mrs. Dixon worked for Allstate Insurance Company for many years. She loved animals, gardening and cooking.

The family will celebrate her life with a private gathering at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting the family with arrangements.
