Mr. Donald Walter Price, 99, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 15, 1917 in South Bend to the late Walter Charles and Sarah Elizabeth (Simon) Price. He married the former June Carol Martin on February 11, 1939 in Elkhart. She passed away on November 20, 2000 in Elkhart.  Donald is survived by his 2 daughters Sharon Willard and Leillah Ann "Lee Ann" Davis; 5 grandchildren Brenda (Dick) Bidelman, Mark (Sherry) Willard, Lauri Davis-Arber, Jeffrey (Kirsten) Davis and Dawn (Randy) Luthringer; 13 great-grandchildren Amanda-Bidelman (Jon) Campbell, Emily (Brett) Darrough, Jonathan Arber, Brittany Willard, Jacob Davis, David (Paige) Arber, Sarah O'Grady, Rachael (Evan) Cummings, Victoria Arber, Connor Davis and fiancée  Destiny, Caleb Luthringer, Courteney Davis and Cole Davis; 7 great-great-grandchildren Daniel Bidelman, Bailey Shoup, Annibell Arber, Aden Campbell, Kamdyn Carter, Isaac Cummings, Izabela Bidelman-Campbell; sister Lois King; brother Robert D. (Charlene) Price; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers Vernon, Harold, Ray, Ralph, Joe, Glenn and John Price; 3 sisters Gladys Price, Doris Barfell and Phyllis Shanin. Donald retired in 1981 from Vincent Bach as a foreman in the Bell Dept. He was a member of Adamsville Road Church of God and previously helped to build the Bethany United Missionary Church in Jimtown with several other members from the ground up. He loved and served God, his family and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. Celebration of life service will be held Friday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior also at Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Ausbun officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery for burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 202 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
