ELKHART — Donald W. Mineager, 89, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart on Feb. 1, 2018.

He was born in Syracuse on July 1, 1928 to the late William and Mable (Fish) Minegar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary J. Minegar and son, Tim R. Minegar. Also surviving are brothers Raymond Marvin Minegar; sisters Phyllis Oswald, Shirley Cook and Carol Bruce; and numerous nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.

Three brothers, Hershel Emmons, Keith Minegar and Robert Minegar and one sister, Juanita Minegar preceded Donald in death.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Donald participated in a bowling league which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida.

He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

The family thanks the staff at East Lake for their wonderful care.
