ELKHART — Donald F. "Don" Reinhardt, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, March 28, at Greenleaf Health Campus.
He was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Bay City, Mich., to Oscar M. and Alma (Zeigler) Reinhardt.
On May 24, 1947, he married Joan M. (Knox) Reinhardt.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, survivors include one son, John (Cindi) Reinhardt of Grove City, Ohio; one daughter, Judy Dolson of South Bend; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janet Reinhardt; and one brother, E. Warren Reinhardt.
Don was employed with Schult Homes for 31 years prior to his retirement in 1992. He was general manager at the Ironwood, Mich., facility from 1961 to 1967. He then moved to Elkhart to become the company's vice president of dealer relations.
He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, the Optimist Club and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was also a Boy Scout and Boy Scout leader.
Don loved spending time with family and friends, was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed extensive world travels with his wife. He and his wife also enjoyed spending winters at their villa in Bradenton, Fla.
A celebration of life service will be at a later date.
