Donald C. "Don" Cox, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with his loving family at his side. He was born on August 15, 1932 in Elkhart to the late Maple Camp and Gwendolyn (Shelt) Cox. He married his true love and best friend Viola Jane Warren. Surviving is his wife of 69 years, V. Jane Cox, three loving daughters, Doris Patton, Debbie Troyer, Darla Chaney, and his granddaughters, Mikayla Grayce and Summer Diane

Don was preceded in death by his children, sons Donald Cox, Joey Cox and twins Jim and Kim, and a step-brother Richard Charles Cox.

Don retired from Whitehall Laboratories, where he worked in the maintenance department and as a certified painter. He enjoyed woodworking and always had a project on his bench. He also enjoyed fulfilling wish-list for family and friends. Don and Jane loved to travel, especially the Grand Canyon and the deserts of Arizona, which they visited several times. Don was a member of The Sanctuary of Osceola.

Per his wishes, a family memorial service will be planned at a later date. Cremation was chosen under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be made to The Sanctuary, 10143 Lehman St., Osceola, IN 46561
