ELKHART — Don L. Windsor, 74, of Elkhart, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, at Elkhart General Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born in Elkhart on April 20, 1941, to the late Richard and Roberta (Ray) Hartman, and is survived by his fiancée, Lee "Libera" Morgan of Elkhart.

Also surviving are his daughters, Kelly (Ray) Toppen of South Bend, Marcy (Drew) Porter of Bremen and Carrie (Adam) Cannon of Mishawaka; his brother, Larry (Pat) Windsor of Mishawaka; stepsister Diane (Edward) Detweiler of Union, Mich.; and grandchildren Payton Windsor, Kennedy Windsor-Hock, Jacob and Joshua Toppen, Abraham, Alexa, Addison and Anderson Cannon, Preston, Mason, Emery and Micah Porter, and Nate Bell.
A son, Todd Windsor, preceded him in death.
A celebration of Don's life will be at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart on Tuesday, Dec. 1, with a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dwight Gosser will officiate a service beginning there at 2 p.m. In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will follow the service.
Don worked at Medallion Plastics of Elkhart for many years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Elkhart Moose Lodge No. 599 and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and rooting for his beloved Notre Dame. He was also an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
