BRISTOL — Don G. Rust, 65, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in his residence.
He was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Frankfurt, Germany, during the time his parents, Cleveland M. and Velma W. (Freeman) Rust were serving in the U.S. Army.
Don is survived by his brother, Richard Rust of Bristol and several cousins and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jay Rust.
Don was a graduate of Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tenn., and later served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of DAV Chapter 52 and spent many years participating in historical war reenactments. He loved to play music and was a member of various local bands in the Elkhart area.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services. There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
