Dixie Lee Deal, 82, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday June 13, 2024 at the Center for Hospice Care, Esthers House in Elkhart. Dixie was born on January 22, 1942 in South Bend to the late Joyce E. "Bud" Lymangrover and Mary June (Evans) Lymangrover. In addition to her parents, siblings, Michael B. Lymangrover, Patrick K. Lymangrover and husbands, John C. W. Treu, James L. Mark and Charles W. Deal. Dixie graduated from South Bend Clay High School and lived most of her life in Granger.

Dixie is survived by her children John C. (Manvic) Treu, Tamara L. (Michael) Kidd; and grandchildren Michael D. Kidd and Gabriel H. Sumagaysay.

Dixie studied for a career in nursing and spent much of her time doing elder care with people in their homes. She was a kind lady, giving much to charity and the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In accordance with her wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home, burial will at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
