ELKHART — Diana Jane Tebo, 70, of Elkhart, passed away suddenly at Elkhart General Hospital following a medical procedure at 4:25 p.m. Friday, June 24.
She was born, in Gary, Sept. 1, 1945, to the late Ivan and Florence (Stewart) Kingery.
She later married Robin "Rob" Tebo in Elkhart on Nov. 9, 1990. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Teresa and Sandy (Leonard) Stewart, both of Elkhart, and Leana Lyttaker of Vandalia, Mich.; sons John (Amy), Rodney (Sundae) and Jamey Lyttaker, all of Elkhart; sisters Lenamae Davis of Edwardsburg, Mich. and Sandy Sandusky of Elkhart; and brother David (Claudia) Kingery of Holland, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, Diana has been cremated and a memorial celebration of her life will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Sandy and Leo Stewart's home.
Diana worked at Kingery Enterprises of Elkhart for many years, but her talent as a seamstress kept her busy making costumes at the Elco Theatre in conjunction with Creative Expressions Inc., an organization which helps disabled children, as well as crafting Halloween costumes for her children year after year and crocheting things for the grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time around people, and her title as "mom" reached far beyond her own children.
Memorial donations may be given in Diana's memory in care of her husband, Rob.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
