Garberick
September 6, 1920 – November 19, 2006
He was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Elkhart County to John and Eva Agnes (Roth) Garberick. On Feb. 14, 1942, in Elkhart, he married Virginia Joy Stouder in Elkhart.
He is survived by four sons, Dean (Jill) Garberick of Elkhart, Ron (Rose) Garberick of Goshen, Devon E. (Wanda) Garberick Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry (Sue) Garberick of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Garberick of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Garberick; and three sisters, Velma Brindley, Evelyn Schuster and Mary Jane Garberick.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Davis Webster of Zion Assembly of God, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mr. Garberick retired from Vincent Bach, where he worked for more than 15 years, and also owned and operated Garberick Radiator Service for more than 20 years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed water skiing, weightlifting and playing basketball and baseball with his family.
Mr. Garberick was a graduate of Bristol High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
