He was born Jan. 12, 1949, in South Bend, to Raymond and Connie (Weaver) Tucker. He married Kathy Wenger in 1968 in Elkhart. She died in 1984.
He is survived by one son, Jamie (Laura) Tucker of Elkhart; one daughter, Lori (Matt) Hayden of Union; four grandchildren; two brothers, Gary (Sue) Tucker of Union, Mich., and Larry Tucker of Middlebury; and two sisters, Donna (Randy) Dobbs of Bristol and Diana "Dee" (Ross) Pelton of Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Tucker, and his parents.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 4 p.m. Thursday memorial service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Mark Kloess of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Elkhart will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
Mr. Tucker was a laborer at Medallion Plastics in Elkhart for several years until his health required his early retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and nature enthusiast. He could always be found camping, kayaking, fishing near Mongo or hunting for arrowheads on his family's land near Union. He was very nature-oriented, enjoyed animals and especially enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets.
