ELKHART — Dennis R. "Shorty" Streetman, 46, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in his residence.
He was born March 9, 1966, in Elkhart to Glenwood and Betty L. (Helenbolt) Streetman.
On July 6, 1988, he married Pamela E. (Wood) Streetman in LaGrange.
In addition to his wife and mother, other survivors include a son, Doug Streetman of Elkhart; daughter Priscilla Streetman of Dunlap; brother David Streetman of Dunlap; and one granddaughter, Haleigh Streetman of Dunlap.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Glenna Sue Steiner.
He was a graduate of Concord High School Class of 1985.
Dennis was the owner and operator of Shorty's Towing Inc. for more than 10 years.
"Shorty" enjoyed spending time fishing and was an avid collector of vintage toy automobiles. His greatest joy was caring for and spending time with his granddaughter, Haleigh.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, and for two hours prior to the 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Michael Lake will officiate.
Interment will follow in Frame Cemetery.
