ELKHART—Dennis Ray Miller, 64, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at home at 5:55 a.m. Sunday, April 16, 2017.
He was born June 14, 1952, in Mishawaka, to the late Arlow and Julia (Salisbury) Miller, and later married Carol A. Miller, who passed away in 2013.
Surviving are his children, Teresa (Eric) Reeves of Moreno Valley, California and Justin and Chris (Kimberly) Miller and a brother, Steve (Sherry) Miller, all of Elkhart, sisters Faith (Keith) Navarro of Minnesota, Hope (Floyd) Krutz of Fort Wayne and Marti Menendez of Muncie; five grandchildren; and his fiancé, Cheri King of Elkhart.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews whom he raised Tina (Russell) Albertson, Brian (Bobbie) Miller and Charles (Annisha) Hunt.
He is preceded by brothers Brian and Kevin Miller
In accordance with his wishes, cremation is to take place and services will be at a later date.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Dennis was a foreman at Sapen Painting of Elkhart for more than 30 years, and will be missed there because of his multi-faceted skill sets.
He loved singing karaoke and playing poker with his friends at the local VFW, and was also a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
