SOUTH BEND — Dennis Lee Lawrence, 54, of South Bend, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Bend.
He was born Oct. 6, 1957, in Detroit to Virgil T. and Edna L. (McCleese) Lawrence.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose and Marcella Lawrence, both of Elkhart; four sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was employed with several local transportation companies and RV manufacturers as a driver for several years. He enjoyed building model cars in his spare time.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services. Private memorial services will take place at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
