ELKHART — Dennis E. Kelley, 57, of Elkhart, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 19, 1954, in Elkhart, to the late Charles P. Kelley Sr. and Lois M. (Wisler) Kelley Davidson, who survives in Princeton.
Also surviving is a sister, Ruth (Tom) Hackler, also of Princeton; two half brothers, Carl (Shirley) and Charles (Lynn) Kelley Jr., both of Elkhart; stepmother Cletah "June" Kelley of Elkhart; aunt and uncle Charles (Inez) Eash of Osceola (with whom he grew up); and cousins Dale and Karen Eash, both of Elkhart.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 6 p.m. service Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Andy Cisneros of Timberland Bible Church of South Bend will officiate. A private burial will follow on Friday at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
Dennis worked as the maintenance man at Poplar's Mobile Home Park in Elkhart for several years.
Memorial donations may be made to the Northeast Indiana Burn Council, 800 Broadway St., Ste. 301, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
