ELKHART — Dennis L. Hoke, 62, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, March 3, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 23, 1953, in Mishawaka, to the late Len Hoke and Joan (Campbell) Coleman.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 34 years, Denise Hoke; sister Connie (Paul) Gage of Osceola; brother Edward Hoke of Hawaii; two nephews; and several cousins.
Dennis formerly worked in the RV industry as well as in car sales. He was very inventive and was always thinking up ideas of things to make or tinker on.
He loved his golden retriever, Cupcake, who passed away and is waiting for him on the Rainbow Bridge. Dennis enjoyed riding his motorcycles and taking care of his home, both inside and out.
Visitation will be private. Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen. Pastor Jay Winters will officiate. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
Arrangements for Dennis are under the care of Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart.
