Dennis "Buzz" A. Berry, 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Buzz was born on March 10, 1939 and raised by his father, Charles and mother, Jane (Bohren) Landrie.

Buzz is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Hope Berry and sister, Margaret Barton.

Buzz is survived by his children, Didi (Gary) Kidder, Danny (Laura) Berry, Dusty (Brenda) Berry and David Berry; grandchildren, Danielle, Kyle, Garrett, Shelby, Angela and Kayla; great grandchildren, Ella and Oliver and sister, Cherie Barton.

Buzz graduated from Jimtown High School, class of 1957. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Buzz was an employee at Speedgrip for over 20 years.

Buzz was a member of the "Fighting 50's" and was proud of his 55 Chevy.

Buzz was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was an active bowler and golfer in his early years.  Buzz enjoyed watching college football and cooking and baking. He enjoyed hanging out at the neighborhood bar with his friends.

He was also an animal lover who cared for sick cats and became friends of all creatures.

Buzz was smart, helpful and a giving man. Although, he was strong-willed at times, it was always out of love.

A Celebration of Buzz's Life with full military honors will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. U.S. Army and Elkhart Honor Guard will render military honors.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the start of service from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
