Denise Kay (Mayer) Fisher, 68, of Bristol, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Raclin House in Mishawaka. Denise was born on July 22, 1954, in Mishawaka to Lillian (Plummer) Mayer. On May 5, 1999, Denise married the late Reggie Fisher in Elkhart.

Denise is survived by her stepson, US Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Jason Fisher; mother, Lillian Mayer; sisters, Linda (Chuck) Mayer-Warner and Tammy Mayer-Jetter; nephew, Matthew Sukolics; and great nephews, Liam and Lucas Sukolics. Denise is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Reggie Fisher.

In accordance with Denise's wishes, cremation has been chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. at The Gathering Place at Centre 1231, 1231 Johnson St, Elkhart, IN 46514. Memorial donations may be made out to Dogtown Resort, 11925 County Rd 10, Middlebury, IN 46540.

Denise graduated from Elkhart High School in 1972. She worked at Excel and ESI Meats before moving onto USPS where she was a mail carrier in Bristol, having her own route for 20 years. Denise retired on December 3, 2014, after her dedicated service to her community. She will be remembered as being a hard worker.

Denise bought her own farm when she was just 21 years old and lived there until her passing. She was an animal lover by nature, having a menagerie of farm life such as horses, donkeys, chickens, pigs, dogs, cats, and more over the years. Denise will be dearly missed.
