Denise A. Fergison, 58, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her residence. She was born in South Bend, IN on June 5, 1967, to the late Harvey and Judy (Betzer) Fergison.

Denise is also preceded in death by her sister, Susan Fergison. She is survived by her children, Stephanie (Burton) Boyd and Shawn Fergison; grandchildren, Greyson and Declan Boyd; and siblings, Don Fergison, Patty Fergison, Cindy Fergison and Mike Fergison.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A celebration of life service will follow at noon with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. Cremation was chosen.

Denise was a strong and independent woman who loved her family fiercely; as only those who truly knew her could see behind her tough exterior. She worked for 23 years at Creation Windows and later went on to work for American Technology Components. Denise was an avid Bowler and was on several bowling teams over the years when she played at Country Club Lanes in Elkhart. She was also once featured on their high score board which was a testament to her skill.

Denise was a regular at JD's Watering Hole and made many friends there over the years, including the owners. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching and cheering on her favorite team, Notre Dame. She was an avid fan and did her best to never miss a game on TV. While she did not say the words, "I Love You", gift giving was her love language, and she enjoyed spoiling her kids and grandchildren with many gifts. Denise will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
