ELKHART — Deloris M. Bedel, 69, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Riverside Village after an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 1, 1948 in Goshen to the late Raymond Evans and Vada P. Sharp, She married Francis Bedel Jr., on May 31, 1986 in Elkhart. Francis survives, as well as 5 step-children, Joyce (Bill) Wakim, Pam (Chris) Kopp, Marcie Knott, Francine (Mark) Copley, Jeff (Shannon) Bedel; 8 grandchildren , 12 great grandchildren; 2 special nephews, Bobby and Billy McDonald. In addition to her parents, a grandson Zachary Knott and 2 brothers Robert D. and William G. McDonald preceded her in death. Deloris was a loving wife and homemaker. She attended Concord High School, and later received her GED.  She was a member of the Salvation Army, where was active in the women's ministries. She enjoyed word search puzzles, talking on the phone and playing on the computer. She also liked to go to yard sales and have company over. She will be missed by her cat "Lil bit". Friends may call for 1 hour prior to the Noon (12 o'clock) celebration of life service Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Lieutenant Aubrey DeBaar of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army, Elkhart.
