ELKHART — Delores May Brown, 85, residing in Elkhart, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, 2017, at Valley View Health Care Center.

A native of South Bend, she was born July 13, 1932, to the late Jeremiah and Goldie May Willard.

She married Francis L. Brown; he died Jan. 7, 2001, in Florida.

Surviving are a daughter, Laurie (Buddy) Huffman of Elkhart; son Leonard (Beverly) Brown of Vero Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, Larry (Tonya) Brown, Patricia Brown, LeeAnn Brown, Heather Brown, and Christopher Brown; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bertha Brown of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Miranda Brown.

Delores was a housewife and homemaker.

She was an avid walker and enjoyed watching TV, especially games shows.

She enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren's activities when they were younger.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen with burial at a later date in Rice Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home.
