ELKHART — Delores J. (Bennett) Hargrove, 79, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 30, 1933, in Milford to the late Frederick and Hazel Victoria (Thwaits) Kaylor.
She was predeceased by a son, Mark Edward Hargrove; daughter Pamela Jean Bennett Eggleston; sisters Ilene, Bernice, Verla and Evelyn; and brothers Jim, Noel and Wayne.
Delores married Marvin E. Hargrove on Oct. 7, 1960, in Elkhart. He passed on Jan. 23, 2006.
Surviving are her children, Robert T. (Heide) Bennett of Bristol and Vickie Lynn (Thomas) Crocker of Bristol; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Delores worked as a waitress for many years including at The Wharf, The Dock and Elcona Country Club. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and placement of her cremated remains will be in Prairie Street Cemetery with her husband, Marvin.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home.
