ELKHART — Debra Sue VanDusen, 59, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at home.

Debra was born Jan. 3, 1958, in Elkhart, to Larry G. and Patricia J. Heckman.

Surviving are her daughter Tami (Erik Torstenson) Kensell of Osceola; grandchildren Cayden and Kiarra Kensell; her son, Shaun Huss of Spencer; sisters Laurie (Jerry) Everest of Edwardsburg and Michele Romans of Elkhart and her son-in-law, Matthew Kensell of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Debra worked as an inspector at Lippert Components and at Godfrey Marine for a total of  30 years.

She loved traveling, everything Disney, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.

Debra was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. Military honors for Debra Sue VanDusen will be rendered at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Prairie Street Cemetery Veteran Towers by the  U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and DAV No. 19.
