Mrs. Debra J. "Deb" Rummel, 59, of Ocala, Florida and formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away at West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala on Saturday, September 11, 2021 following some coronary issues. She was born October 7, 1961 in Elkhart to the late Norman and Joan (Maher) Paulson, and later married Kerry Rummel in Elkhart on February 29, 1992. He survives at home in Ocala. She is also survived by her daughter, Stacy (Tony) Savick, II of Hampton, Virginia and her grandchildren, Alexander and Aubrianna Savick.

In accordance with Deb's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart from noon until 2:00 pm, followed by a procession to Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol where burial and committal of her cremated remains will take place.

Debra was a loving, Christian lady who had worked for Robert Weed Plywood in the Michiana area for over 15 years and had lived in Florida for the past 6 years.

Deb loved to spend time with her family, but her grandchildren were the center of her universe. Of course, she also loved reading, travelling and shopping, but if the grandkids could tag along, well, even better. Determined, headstrong and devoted, Deb lived life to the fullest and savored each day.
