Deborah "Deb" K. Billet, 70, of Elkhart, was taken to Heaven in the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, April 3, 2022. She was born on March 23, 1952, to the late William Roberts and Margaret (Schumacher) Roberts, who survives her.

Deb is also survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Dale Billet; daughters, Stephanie (Eon) Johnson and Kimberly (Ryan) McDowell; granddaughters, Emi and Maddie McDowell; and brother, Steve (Karen) Roberts.

In accordance with Deb's wishes, cremation was chosen, and private family services will take place at a later date at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Please respect the family's wishes to have private services at this time. Memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 30888 C.R. 6 Elkhart, IN 46514.

Deb was a faithful servant to her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. She was very humble and caring and would always put the needs of others before her own. Deb graduated from Jimtown High School and went on to study Elementary Education at Indiana University where she would earn her bachelor's degree. On July 14, 1972, Deb married the love of her life, Dale Billet. For two years, she worked for Baugo Community Schools as a kindergarten teacher and loved working with her students. In 1984, she became a loving and caring stay-at-home mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, gardening, and studying scripture. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart, led a women's Bible study for years and was also a Stephens minister. Deb will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
