Deanne C. Eick, 70, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Deanne was born on July 11, 1951 to Ted and Betty (Mothersell) Crewson in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. She married the late, Paul Eick in 1989 in Elkhart. Deanne is preceded in death by her husband, Paul and her father, Ted.

Deanne is survived by her son, Dave (Stacy) Schutz of Elkhart; mother, Betty Crewson of Owen Sound, Canada; brother, Phil (Sandy) Crewson of Winter Garden, FL; grandchildren, Malinda (Derek) Lacey, Nic Schutz and Shayna Schutz and great grandchildren, Jayden, Anna Belle, Cameron, Violet, Izabelle and Charlotte.

Deanne was a graduate of Jimtown High School. She was a substitute teacher for Elkhart Community Schools.  Deanne was also in sales in the jewelry department at J.C. Penny's for 20 years. She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and going on vacation every year to Canada. Deanne was an avid collector of giraffes and antiques. She was outgoing, "bubbly" and enjoyed talking to people.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Deanne's life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Per the family's wishes, Deanne will be cremated.
