ELKHART — Deanna "Dee" Konrath, 73, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at her residence after a long battle with stage four breast cancer.
She was born Aug. 27, 1939, in South Haven, Mich., to Ambrose Julius Konrath II and Ella Gertrude (Gregory) Konrath.
Survivors include three brothers, Ambrose "Jim" Konrath III and Donald F. (Eva) Konrath, both of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Robert D. (Diane) Konrath of Millersburg; 12 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George W. Konrath, Michael T. Konrath and Albert P. Konrath.
Dee was employed with CTS Corp. as a machinist for more than 38 years prior to her retirement on Dec. 31, 2004.
She enjoyed walking, reading, doing crossword and sudoku puzzles, using her computer and reading the Bible.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Inurnment of her cremated remains will be at a later date at Adamsville Cemetery in Edwardsburg.
In lieu of flowers, Dee requested that memorial contributions be made to her favorite charity, Faith Mission of Elkhart.
