Mr. Dean Alan Miller, 66, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at his home on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 at 9:37 am.  He was born Sept. 4, 1953 in Elkhart to the late LeRoy and Colleen (Smith) Miller.

Survivors include his sister Nancy Shannon and a nephew, Michael Polachek. He is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Polachek, and a nephew, Charles "Chip" Stout.

Dean's life will be celebrated on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart, with viewing beginning there at 12:00 noon. Dean's nephew Michael will officiate and cremation will follow the services.

Despite the fact that Dean spent the majority of his life with a disability, it never stopped him from pursuing a long and fruitful life. He loved to watch television and enjoyed all of the older TV shows like Andy Griffith. He also spent quite a bit of time on his home PC chatting with his friends on Facebook. Dean was an "Avid Cubs Fan."
