David C. Wilmore, 76, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Elkhart on September 10, 1944 to the late Robert H. and Helen P. (Cripe) Wilmore Sr.

David is survived by his wife, Sandy Kreider; children, Ted (Tina) Wilmore and Tina (Steve) Musselman (Wilmore); grandchildren, Danielle Musselman, Trevor Wilmore, and Mathew Wilmore; sister, RaNay Wilmore; and five nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert "Bob" Wilmore Jr.

In accordance with his family's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart and Altera Cremation Services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

David was a caring man who would do anything to help those in need, even by giving the very shirt off his back. He worked as a railroad engineer for over 40 years and enjoyed his career. In his free time, David enjoyed building things, keeping his many pets in good company, and cheering on his favorite team, Notre Dame. He will be missed greatly by his loving family and many friends.
