IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Scott
Williamson
June 10, 1993 – October 8, 2024
Mr. David Scott Williamson, age 31, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following a tragic accident at home. Born on June 10, 1993, in Elkhart, Indiana, David was the beloved son of Laura L. (Kip) Craigo Marshall of Bristol and Scott (Jackie Deppe) Williamson of Elkhart.
David's life was defined by his warm heart, quick wit, and adventurous spirit. He had a special way of making those around him feel seen and appreciated, always finding time to lend a hand or share a laugh. David's kindness extended far beyond his family and friends; he was the kind of person who never met a stranger.
He is survived by his parents, along with a loving group of siblings: his brother, Harry Deppe, III of Elkhart; sisters, Kindra (Noah Neuerburg) Marshall of Union, Michigan, Kristy (Jay Young) Marshall of Elkhart; Heather (Abe) Crawford of Elkhart, and Angel (Thomas) Null, also of Elkhart. David's bond with his siblings was a cornerstone of his life, and he cherished their time together.
David's extended family was an important part of his life, including his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will remember his hearty laugh and generous spirit. He is also survived by his constant companion and unlikely sidekick, Riddick, a 15-foot-long reticulated python. Riddick was more than just a pet—he was a loyal travel buddy, sharing countless adventures with David. It was not uncommon to see them together, whether on a road trip or simply enjoying the peace of nature.
David is preceded in death by his younger brother, Ryan Marshall, whom he dearly missed and held close in his heart.
A talented welder, David spent many years working in the RV industry, where his skills and creativity shone through. He had a knack for all things mechanical, always tinkering with projects and striving to make things better. Whether repairing an old engine or creating something entirely new, David found joy in his craft.
Outside of work, David had a passion for the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace in the stillness of a quiet lake or the rush of a river. Primitive camping was another of his loves, allowing him to connect with nature in its purest form. And when he wasn't outside, you might find him on the couch, engrossed in a good movie. He had a soft spot for film nights and never hesitated to hit his mom up for the Hulu password when a new show caught his eye.
In accordance with the family's wishes, no immediate services will be held. Cremation has been chosen, with arrangements under the care of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date, where David's ashes will be laid to rest at the family plot in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol.
Those who wish to honor David's memory are invited to make a contribution toward his final service expenses through Billings Funeral Home. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
David's presence will be missed deeply by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
