ELKHART -- David L. "Old Man" Frost, 68, of Elkhart, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 9, 1943, in Rockville to the late Richard J. and Eleanor (Vance) Frost. He married Dorothy G. Norment on April 26, 1961, in Edwardsburg, Mich. She passed away in Elkhart in 2008.
Surviving are son Donald R. "Donnie" (Ashley) Frost of Elkhart; brothers Leon, Darrell and William J. "Bill" (LeAnn) Frost, all of Elkhart, Jerry (Pam) Frost of Louisville, Ky., and John Frost of Portland, Ore.; as well as 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by stepson Terry Nicely and son David Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at New Testament Bible Church, 29718 C.R. 18, Elkhart. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the church. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart.
Dave spent most of his life as a carpenter and was a member of New Testament Bible Church.
Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
