They also made many summer memories over the years at the family lake cottage at Straight Lake in Osage, Minnesota, (Pop. 245.) where he enjoyed fishing and boating. He also enjoyed fishing in Alaska. Dave was kind and dependable and loved to tinker around fixing things.
Faith was especially important to Dave. He attended St. Vincent School for his first 8 years, and graduated from Elkhart High School, class of 1969. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist, where he served as the chair of the finance committee for several years.
