Obituary

ELKHART — David Andrew Bryant, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Aug. 28 in his residence.

He was born March 25, 1934, in Elkhart, to Floyd E. and Nora (Laughman) Bryant.

Survivors include two brothers, Saul (Phyllis) Bryant and Ernest (Sandra) Bryant, both of Elkhart; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Bryant of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Bryant, and one sister, Virginia Scott.

David proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years, retiring in 1971 after serving three tours of duty in Vietnam and the Korean War.

He was a member of the DAV 19, lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Aircraft Fire and Rescue Association.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. John Drexler will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps and the DAV 19. Inurnment will follow in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DAV 19 in Elkhart in memory of David.
