BRADENTON, Fla. -- David A. Berkey, 64, of Bradenton, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., died March 26, 2011, in Bradenton.
He married Jean (Turpin) Krohn in 1972.
She survives along with his brother, Charles Berkey of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Stuart Mitchell of Springfield, Ore.; stepson and his wife, David and Karen Krohn of Aurora, Colo.; four nieces; one nephew; five stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Gayle Berkey.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the 3 p.m. celebration of life service Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
