David G. Arisman, 84, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at his residence. David was born on June 14, 1937, in Elkhart to the late Mervin B. and Helen E. (Gilbert) Arisman. On June 30, 1956, David married the love of his life, the late Judith "Judy" L. Dunivant. They were able to spend a wonderful 55 years together before Judy's passing in 2011.

David is survived by sons, Mark L. (Sheila) Arisman and David G. (Lori) Arisman, Jr.; daughters, Kathy M. (Craig) Parks, Kandy L. (Mike) Wolf, and Kristy L. Flynn; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; brothers, James E. Arisman and Scot A. Arisman; sister, Nancy J. Arisman. David is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and grandparents, Jacob, and Anna Gilbert.

David was a Records Engineer for Johnson Controls, Inc. for 38-and-a-half years before retiring in 2000. He was a proud member of the First Congregational Church in Elkhart and was a former Eagle and Moose member. David was known for joking around with his family and friends as well as having a good sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoyed being a member of local bowling teams and fishing with his beloved wife. David was passionate about learning and teaching about his family's genealogy. He was a model builder, puzzle enthusiast, and woodworker where he handcrafted wooden butterflies.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 10-noon at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart with a funeral service to follow at noon with Pastor Mike Cramer of New Life Church in Osceola officiating. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
