Darren D. Freshour, 60, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home.

Darren was born on May 12, 1961 to Larry E. Freshour and Rochelle (Barnes) Alberding in Elkhart, IN.

He is preceded in death by his father, Larry E. Freshour and son, Marcus Lee Freshour.

Darren is survived by his mother, Rochelle Alberding; brothers, Derrick Freshour and Daniel Freshour all of Elkhart; close nephew, Dakota Freshour and girlfriend, Deb Davis.

Darren graduated from Memorial High School in Elkhart. Most recently, he was a truck driver with Leer Trucking Company. Darren was a member Northside Baptist Church and The Order of the Moose Lodge #599. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Darren enjoyed playing cards with his friends and riding four wheelers. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on houses with his late, father.

Darren was an easy-going guy, a hard worker and always believed in doing things "right".

A Gathering of family and friends for Darren will be on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 followed by a Memorial Service for Darren at 12:00 pm noon with Pastor Nathan Breneman of North Side Baptist Church officiating. He will be interred privately at Prairie Street Cemetery at a later date.
